Miroslav Miličić was born in 1976 in Zrenjanin. He obtained the title of doctor of medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, the University of Belgrade in 2001, and he completed his internship at the Military Medical Academy. He is a specialist in general surgery, a subspecialist in cardiac surgery and a doctor of medical sciences. He is employed with the Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases “Dedinje”, where he worked for the first eight years of his medical residency at the Vascular Surgery Clinic, and since 2009 he has been working as a cardiac surgeon at the Cardiac Surgery Clinic. He is also employed as a clinical assistant for the scientific area of Surgery with Anesthesiology (General Surgery-Cardiac Surgery) at the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade. He is a member of the Serbian Society for Cardiovascular Surgery of Serbia, the Cardiology Society of Serbia and the Serbian Society of Extracorporeal Circulation and Technology. He received his professional training in the field of minimally invasive procedures in cardiac surgery. The areas of subspecialty he is interested in are minimally invasive procedures in cardiac surgery and congenital heart defects in adults. He is fluent in English.
