Petar Vuković was born in 1976 in Wiessbaden, Germany. He obtained the title of doctor of medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, the University of Belgrade in 2000. He is a medical specialist in cardiac surgery, doctor of medical sciences and clinical assistant in the subject of Surgery with Anesthesiology. He works as a cardiac surgeon at the Cardiac Surgery Clinic of the Institute and is currently holding the position of Assistant Director of Cardiac Surgery. He received his professional training at the Memorial Hermann in Houston, USA, at the Deutsches Herzzentrum Berlin, FR Germany and Herzzentrum Lepzig, FR Germany. He is a member of the Serbian Society for Cardiovascular Surgery (SSCVS), Cardiology Society of Serbia (CSS) and the European Society for Cardiovascular Surgery (ESCVS). The area of subspecialty he is interested in is surgical treatment of cardiac insufficiency and minimally invasive cardiac surgery. He is fluent in English, German and French.
