Slobodan Tomić was born in 1963 in Kolasin. He obtained the title of doctor of medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, the University of Belgrade, in 1989. He is a specialist in internal medicine, a subspecialist in cardiology, chief of medicine, master and doctor of medical sciences, assistant professor at the Department of Internal Medicine. He works as a cardiologist at the Cardiology Clinic at the Institute, Department of Non-Invasive Cardiac Diagnostics. He attended professional trainings at the Northwick Park University Hospital in London. He is the author of two monographs, a number of scientific papers, a lecturer by invitation and a researcher in domestic and international clinical studies. He is a member of the European Association for Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI), the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), the Cardiology Society of Serbia and the Serbian Medical Society. The areas of subspecialty he is interested in are transthoracic – transesophageal echocardiography, ischemic heart disease – left ventricular aneurysms, pericardial effusions and tamponade. He is fluent in English.
