Maja Nešković was born in 1973 in Belgrade. She obtained the title of doctor of medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, the University of Belgrade in 2000, with the grade point average of 9.40. She became a specialist in neurology in 2007. In the period from 2000 to 2016, she worked at the Department of Neurology of the KHC Zemun, as a head of the Department of Neurology. Since 2016, she has been employed at the neuroangiology division of ICVD Dedinje, as a consultant neurologist and neuroangiologist. She had advanced training in neurangiology and electroencephalography in CCS. The areas of subspecialty she is interested in are neuroangiology, cerebrovascular diseases and headaches. She is a member of the SSN (Society of Serbian Neurologists), EAN (European Academy of Neurology), Board of Directors of SNHS (Serbian National Headache Society). She is fluent in English and speaks German to some extent.
