Dr Srđan Bošković was born in 1972 in Belgrade, where he finished primary and secondary school. He enrolled the Faculty of Medicine, the University of Belgrade in the academic year 1990/91. He graduated in 1997 with the grade point average of 9.97. He completed residency specializing in internal medicine at the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade in 2003 with excellent achievements. He obtained his Master’s degree in cardiology in 2010 when he defended his Master’s thesis entitled “Surgical correction of non-ischemic mitral regurgitation in patients with reduced left ventricular systolic function – predictors of cardiovascular events”, mentor Prof. dr Biljana Obrenović-Kirćanski. He completed his medical internship at the Faculty of Medicine in 1997. Since 1998, he has been employed at the Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases Dedinje. He attended professional clinical trainings at St. John’s Hospital in Detroit, USA, and at the Kerckoff Clinic in Bad Nauheim, Germany. In the period from 2010-2015, on four occasions he spent three months in Chest Disease Hospital in Kuwait, where he worked as the head of the coronary unit and at the department of interventional cardiology. He has been a clinical assistant for the subject of Internal Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, the University of Belgrade since 2011. He is the author and co-author of 16 in extenso papers quoted in Current Content and dozens of abstracts at national and international congresses. On several occasions he was a lecturer by invitation at domestic congresses of cardiologists and internists. He was a co-researcher and principal researcher in 14 international clinical studies. He is a member of the Cardiology Society of Serbia and the European Society of Cardiology, as well as the American-Austrian Medical Foundation.
