Vera Maravić-Stojković was born in 1957 in Uroševac. She obtained the title of doctor of medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, the University of Novi Sad, in 1981. She is a specialist in immunology and a doctor of medical sciences. She works as an immunologist at the Institute. She attended professional trainings at the Medical Hochschule in Hanover, Germany, at the Institute of Anatomy, Evard Kardelj University in Ljubljana, Slovenia and at the Vinca Institute of Nuclear Sciences, Belgrade. She is a member of the European Society of Organ Transplantation (ESOT), a member of the Cochrain Librery (Fellow in Cochrain Group) and the Cardiology Society of Serbia (CSS). The area of subspecialty she is interested in is immunosuppressive therapy and biomarkers of sepsis. She is fluent in English, Italian, Slovenian and Russian.
