Dragana Šarenac was born in 1969 in Belgrade. She obtained the title of doctor of medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, the University of Belgrade in 1993. She is a specialist in internal medicine (2000), a subspecialist in cardiology (2017) and Master in medical sciences (2001). She works as a cardiologist at the Cardiology Clinic of the Institute. She attended professional trainings at Hammersmith Hospital in London and Ulleval University Hospital in Oslo. She is a member of the Cardiology Society of Serbia (CSS), European Society of Cardiology (ESC), Heart Failure Association (HFA), European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI), European Association of Preventive Cardiology (EAPC), ESC Working Group on Thrombosis (ESC WG on thrombosis). The areas of subspecialty she is interested in are: myocardial revascularization, antithrombotic therapy after PCI, cardiovascular therapy of the elderly. She is fluent in English, and speaks French and Italian to some extent.
